TUFH2027

Social Innovation in Health Summit

Social Innovation in Health Summit

by the Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) Network, supported by TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Disease, co-sponsored by UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank and WHO

What if countries accelerated universal health coverage by mainstreaming community-engaged social innovation in their national systems?

Social innovation thrives when every actor shares responsibility for change. When social innovation is backed by evidence and supported by a global network, its impact becomes transformative and lasting.

We invite you to join us at the Social Innovation in Health Summit — where community-engaged research expands what is possible.

The theme for TUFH 2027 is From Local Partnerships to Global Solidarity: Scaling Social Innovations for Equitable, Responsive, and Resilient Health Systems

About the summit

Social innovations in health are inclusive solutions that meet the needs of end users through a multistakeholder, community-engaged process.
The Social Innovation in Health Summit convenes all actors (researchers, government, civil society, health professionals, and community) to share lessons learned in creating and supporting grassroots solutions to local, national, and global health issues. Different forms of research, capacity strengthening, and advocacy on social innovations are welcome.

This platform values equity, shared learning, and mutual support. It is designed to spark conversations leading to co-creation. It provides a great opportunity to meet and develop collaborations with people who share the same aspirations of social change through community-driven innovations.

Discover community. Gain visibility. See the bigger picture.

About Social Innovation in Health Initiative

The Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) is a vibrant global network dedicated to accelerating universal health coverage through social innovation, community engagement, and social justice in low- and middle-income countries. Since its inception in 2014, the SIHI Network has continuously expanded, bringing together a diverse group of passionate individuals, organizations, and institutions who share a common goal.

Our vision is to catalyse research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to foster and advance community-engaged social innovations that have the power to transform healthcare delivery systems and accelerate universal health coverage.

Today, the SIHI Network is composed of seventeen (17) hubs around the world, catalyzing multidisciplinary research to enhance innovations’ effectiveness, dissemination and impact. The network is coordinated and managed by the SIHI Global Network Secretariat in the Philippines.
