TUFH 2027 is a joint conference between The Network: Towards Unity for Health, the University Federal of Pernambuco (UFPE), Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde (FPS) & Brazilian Association for Medical Education (ABEM).
TUFH 2027 will be an international, intersectoral, and intergenerational in-person and virtual conference that brings together academic organizations and global health providers into a single event.

The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) is one of Brazil’s leading public universities, recognized for excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, scientific research, and innovation. Ranked among the top universities in the country by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), UFPE is a reference institution in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. Its origins date back to the Faculty of Law of Recife (1827) and its formal establishment as the University of Recife in 1946, later becoming UFPE.

Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde (FPS)
The Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde (FPS) is a community-based higher education institution located in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, founded in 2005 through a partnership between the Boa Viagem Educational Association (AEBV) and the Alice Figueira Foundation (FAF), in collaboration with the Professor Fernando Figueira Institute of Integral Medicine (IMIP). FPS is recognized for its innovative, problem-based and interprofessional learning model, strongly integrated with healthcare services. The institution is committed to academic excellence, social accountability, and the formation of health professionals prepared to address contemporary health challenges.

Brazilian Association for Medical Education (ABEM)
Brazilian Association of Medical Education (ABEM) is a national civil society organization founded in 1962, dedicated to the advancement of medical education in Brazil. It played a key role in establishing the Brazilian Congress of Medical Education (COBEM), first held in 1963. ABEM brings together institutional, individual, honorary, and benefactor members, including medical schools, centers, and training programs across the country. Through regional chapters and national initiatives, the association promotes the continuous development, innovation, and strengthening of medical education throughout Brazil.

TUFH 2027 will be an international, intersectoral, and intergenerational in-person and virtual conference that brings together academic organizations and global health providers into a single event. We strongly recommend attending in person, but for those unable to travel, we will provide the opportunity for virtual participation.
